Service Description
A focused 60-minute advisory session for independent authors who need strategic clarity around a specific business, platform, operational, or publishing-readiness challenge. Before your session, you'll complete a brief intake and may submit up to three relevant materials for review. Your session will focus on assessing the issue, identifying gaps or opportunities, establishing priorities, and determining practical next steps. Following the session, you'll receive a concise Swann and Cipher Strategy Summary outlining key observations, priority actions, and recommended next steps within three business days. Best for: one clearly defined challenge or decision. If several areas of your author business need to be evaluated together, the Author Business Intensive may be the better fit.
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required to reserve an advisory session. Clients may reschedule one time without penalty when notice is provided at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 48 hours before the appointment, as well as missed appointments, are nonrefundable. Clients who arrive late may participate for the remainder of their scheduled appointment; however, sessions will end at the originally scheduled time. A completed pre-session intake and all materials submitted for review must be received at least three business days before the scheduled appointment. Materials received after the deadline may not be reviewed and may require the appointment to be rescheduled. Strategy Session clients may submit up to three relevant materials for pre-session review. Author Business Intensive clients may submit up to six relevant materials. Additional materials are not included unless agreed to separately in writing. If Swann and Cipher must cancel or reschedule an appointment, the client may choose a new available appointment or receive a full refund. Advisory services provide strategic assessment, recommendations and planning support. They do not include implementation or ongoing consulting after the engagement unless separately contracted. The Strategy Session includes a written Swann and Cipher Strategy Summary delivered within three business days following the session. The Author Business Intensive includes an Swann and Cipher Author Business Roadmap delivered within five business days. Booking an advisory service constitutes acknowledgment of the applicable service description, booking policy and Swann and Cipher Advisory & Consulting terms.
